Beds From Home is looking for a skilled and experienced

Production Manager

to oversee and coordinate our manufacturing processes. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in furniture or bed production, who can lead a team and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the

production floor and dispatch area

, ensuring full compliance with health and safety standards and company policies. Oversee production scheduling, workflow, and resource planning to meet customer orders and deadlines. Implement and uphold

inventory control systems

and

FIFO (First-In, First-Out)

principles. Lead and motivate staff, including production workers, loaders, drivers, and dispatch personnel. Monitor production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity. Conduct regular stock takes and oversee accurate loading, manufacturing, and dispatch of all goods. Monitor weighbridge variance reports and ensure all processes align with quality standards. Plan and optimize logistics, including vehicle routing and fleet maintenance scheduling. Ensure

quality control

across all products, with attention to materials, finishes, and final inspections.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of

4 years' experience

in a

production management

role within the

furniture or bed manufacturing industry

. Deep understanding of furniture production processes, materials, and equipment. Familiar with

Sage

,

Microsoft Excel

, and other stock/production management systems. Proven ability to

lead, supervise, and train a diverse team

. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Own transport is essential.
