Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in a relevant field (Essential/Minimumn or) Bachelor of Engineering in a relevant discipline (Essential/Minimum) Management Development Programme (Recommended/Desirable) 6-8 years of relevant job-specific experience with successful management of business improvement, preferably in a mining or resources environment (Essential/Minimum) Proficiency in project management with the ability to develop, maintain, and operationalise digital strategies aligned with business objectives Strong experience in stakeholder relationship management, including building partnerships with internal and external parties Demonstrated experience in change management with a focus on digital transformation within industrial operations Ability to leverage data analytics and industry insights to drive business value and innovation Experience in developing professional networks and staying abreast of trends and advancements in business improvement and innovation Compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements, including the ability to address significant safety and operational issues Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro) Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)

Duties & Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage a digital strategy aligned with the company's 2023 Business Strategy to enhance operational performance and create business value. Lead and execute complex projects and process improvements to drive continuous improvement across the organization, ensuring adherence to excellence standards. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders for better collaboration and to support strategic and financial goals. Harness insights from data analytics and industry trends to identify, propose, and implement optimization opportunities within the operational value chain. Facilitate change management processes necessary for digital transformation, ensuring alignment of mining operations with business objectives. Create and maintain professional networks by engaging in external forums and cultivating partnerships with start-ups, innovative companies, and research centers for mining innovation. Evaluate, select, and develop innovative digital solutions and manage pilots to operationalize new initiatives efficiently. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements by monitoring practices and addressing potential safety and operational issues. Monitor and ensure effective knowledge management by facilitating information exchange within operations for continuous learning and improvement. * Provide leadership, strategic direction, and management to digital initiatives to ensure successful implementation and value creation.
