Job Description

Ultra Liquors, an award-winning, national wholesale and retail business has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Transformation Manager to join our expanding team. The suitable candidate will be responsible for driving the strategic and operational aspects of digital transformation across the organisation. The Digital Transformation Manager will work closely with leadership and stores to ensure successful digital strategies align with the company's goals.

Key Responsibilities:



Strategic Leadership:



Lead the development and execution of the company's digital transformation strategy. Partner with senior leadership to align digital initiatives with business objectives. Identify opportunities for digital solutions that drive efficiency, innovation, and revenue growth.

Project Management



Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of digital transformation projects from concept to completion. Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resources. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.

Change Management



Foster a culture of digital adoption and continuous improvement across the organization. Develop and execute change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions during digital transformations. Provide training, guidance, and support to employees to ensure successful implementation of new digital tools and processes.

Stakeholder Engagement



Collaborate with internal teams and departments to understand business needs and technical requirements. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, presenting clear progress updates and outcomes. Manage relationships with third-party vendors and external partners related to digital solutions.

Innovation and Technology Solutions



Evaluate new and emerging technologies that can drive business growth and transformation. Analyse the current technology landscape and identify gaps or inefficiencies that can be improved with digital solutions. Lead the implementation of new systems, applications, or platforms as part of the digital transformation

Performance Monitoring and Reporting



Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital transformation initiatives. Provide regular updates to leadership on the progress, performance, and results of transformation efforts. Identify areas for optimization based on data analysis and feedback from users.

Risk Management and Compliance



Ensure that all digital transformation projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and security protocols. Assess and mitigate risks associated with digital transformation initiatives.

Reporting lines



CEO

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or similar (advantageous)

Experience:



Minimum of 10+ years of experience in digital transformation, project management, or a related field.

Proven track record of leading digital transformation initiatives in a complex, fast-paced environment. (Wholesale and Retail - advantageous)

Experience in both technical and business aspects of digital transformations.

Strong understanding of modern technologies, such as AI, cloud computing, IoT, data analytics, and automation.

Rollout of eCommerce solutions for wholesale and retail customers (advantageous)

Rollout of Last Mile logistics solutions linked to eCommerce sites (advantageous)

Skills



Soft Skills:

o Adaptability, creativity, and a forward-thinking approach to digital change

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in digital project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana). Familiarity with enterprise software platforms, CRM, ERP systems, and digital marketing tools. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend digital solutions. Data-driven mindset, able to interpret and act on data insights.

Remuneration Package:



Market related package

Working conditions:



Fulltime permanent position based at the Cape Town office (Wynberg)

Occasional travel may be required for project implementation
