An established automotive group is seeking a strategic and hands-on
Digital Marketing Manager
to lead the digital marketing efforts across multiple dealership brands and platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the digital strategy, campaign execution, website content, lead management, and analytics. This role requires someone with a strong command of automotive marketing channels, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of online consumer behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement a unified digital marketing strategy across all dealership brands
Maintain a 3-month rolling content calendar aligned with promotions and campaigns
Collaborate with key stakeholders to conceptualize and drive marketing initiatives
2. Execution & Campaign Management
Oversee social media content, website updates, email marketing (EDMs), paid advertising, and SEO
Ensure timely execution and scheduling of all campaign material
Support dealership teams with social media alignment and localized campaigns
3. Website & Platform Management
Perform daily audits of all group websites to ensure accuracy and relevance of stock and specials
Manage online listings across third-party platforms (e.g., AutoTrader, Cars.co.za, Gumtree)
Optimize landing pages and lead forms to increase conversion rates
4. Analytics & Reporting
Build and maintain dashboards for campaign and website performance tracking
Generate weekly and monthly lead reports, segmented by dealership and platform
Present monthly digital performance reports with actionable insights to leadership
5. Lead & Communication Management
Monitor and forward WhatsApp Business inquiries to relevant departments
Ensure timely responses to email, phone, and social media inquiries
Manage Google My Business messages and reviews
6. Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with dealership teams, creative contributors, and third-party agencies
Oversee branding at sponsored events and ensure maximum digital exposure
7. Brand Oversight
Maintain consistent brand presence across all digital assets
Ensure accuracy of business listings and verification across all platforms
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or related field
5+ years of digital marketing experience, with at least 2 years in automotive or retail sectors
Proficiency with Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and CMS platforms
Experience with CRM systems and lead management tools (e.g., WhatsApp Business)
Proven ability to manage campaigns from ideation to reporting
