We are looking for a
reliable, skilled, and customer-focused individual with a Code 14 Drivers License and experience
to join our Workshop Team as a Diesel Technician.This position will be based at our
Workshop in Waltloo (Pretoria East).
This role is essential in maintaining and repairing company vehicles and equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations in line with Chamberlain standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Code 14 Drivers License (essential, non-negotiable)
2. N3 - N6 Diesel Mechanic (Engineering Studies) qualification
3. Understanding of mechanical systems and tools
4. Physical stamina, ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lifting of heavy objects
5. Integrity, reliability and eagerness to assist
6. Strong verbal communication
7. Specialist technical knowledge (diesel mechanics, maintenance, diagnostics)
8. Ability to solve problems effectively and apply correct maintenance practices

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure all vehicles and equipment operate safely and reliably.
Assist qualified mechanics with daily repair and service tasks. Repair, adjust, and replace faulty parts using sound technical knowledge
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment, including daily and weekly housekeeping.
Provide accurate feedback to the qualified mechanics and the workshop foreman.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and stock items are correctly packed and stored
.
