Job Description
Job Summary Our client in the Automotive industry is looking for a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join their team in New-Castle, KwaZulu Natal.
Requirements:
- Trade Test Certificate (QCTO/Red Seal or equivalent) in Diesel Mechanics.
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualifying experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with specific expertise in UD Trucks.
- Proven skills in diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles, particularly UD Trucks.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.
- Valid driver's license; Code EC or Code 14 license with PDP (Professional Driving Permit) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain UD Trucks, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and advanced troubleshooting to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Conduct repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems specific to UD Trucks.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and UD-specific software to identify and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate service records and job cards in compliance with QCTO and industry standards.
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety protocols and regulations.
