We are seeking the skills of a Diesel / Forklift Technician to join our team in Western Cape Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12
Driver's license (EB)
Forklift Operator's Certificate (optional)
Trade Test Certificate
Diesel Theory
Basic Forklift Understanding
Basic Electrical Experience
Responsibilities:
Based on assignment, independently performs corrective maintenance and repairs to the fleet
Coordination of movement within the workshop with the use of a forklift
Removal of all recyclables from around and within the workshop
Complete basic job cards as per policy
When requesting parts from a supplier an order number must be given by the Parts Division
Receiving of Containers in the yard
In receiving, receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment
Embodying Fleet Management culture by providing the best and most responsive customer service possible, consistently maintaining your integrity, ethics and accountability dedicating yourself to functioning as a helpful, respectful and vital member of our team
Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and failure analysis on all components and systems
Complete basic and advanced technical training as assigned
Maintain parts and supplies needed for job completion
Maintain company forklift cleanliness and ensure forklift is in safe operating condition
Maintain a culture of safety & participate in all safety meetings
Responsible for properly and accurately filling out all work orders
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area
Picks up parts and performs other tasks as assigned with the proper paper trail
Be available to assist with forklift maintenance or forklift repairs as requested by the Workshop Manager
If a car or cell phone has been provided by the company, you will need to be on standby whenever the need arises.
Prepared to work overtime or be on stand-by
