Development Engineer
Job Description
DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
Duties include:Design of a large number of components
Design of small jigs and fixturesCompilation of:
Engineering drawings
BOM's (Bill of Materials)
Engineering Process sheets and Instructions
Implementation of Engineering Change Request
Continuous product development, improvements & cost saving
Providing Technical support to customers & co-workers
Project management and Prototype developmentMin Requirements:
B-Tech or similar Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Competent with Solidworks or similar CAD package
Knowledge of Automotive vehicles and their construction
Ability to perform under pressure
Ability to communicate on a Technical basisAdvantageous:
Previous experience with BOM's (Bill of Materials)
Previous experience with GRP (Glass-reinforced plastic) components
Previous experience with Steel and Sheetmetal fabrication
Machining experience
Basic Handskills
