Job Description

We are seeking a Developer (Ops Specialist) for our client in Kramerville Sandton. The Business Central Developer is responsible for designing, developing, customising, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions to meet business requirements. The role focuses on enhancing system functionality, integrating Business Central with other platforms, and ensuring stable, secure, and scalable ERP solutions that support financial, operational, and reporting needs across the organization.

Requirements -

Grade 12 Minimum 3-year degree / diploma (NQF 6) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3-years' experience in developing, customizing, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV. Or Minimum 5-years' experience in developing, customizing, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV.

Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate

Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer / AL Language

Other relevant Microsoft or ERP development certifications Availability to work extended hours (afterhours or over weekends) on an ad hoc basis Design, develop, and customise Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions using AL and extension-based development. Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications and system solutions. Configure and extend standard Business Central functionality in line with Microsoft best practices and upgrade-safe principles. Develop, maintain, and support integrations between Business Central and third-party systems. Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution of system issues within agreed service levels. Participate in system upgrades, patches, deployments, and release management activities. Conduct testing, debugging, and quality assurance to ensure stable, secure, and compliant solutions. Collaborate with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and end users to optimise system performance and usability. Support data migration, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives within the ERP environment. Maintain technical documentation, development standards, and version control practices.
