Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Debt Manager Developer with a strong background in configuration, SQL, and COBOL to join our dynamic team. As a Debt Manager Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the debt management system, ensuring its optimal performance and functionality. Your expertise will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing debt-related processes within our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and customize the debt management system to meet business needs, ensuring efficient and effective debt collection and recovery processes.
• Develop and maintain SQL scripts and queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting purposes.
• Design, code, test, and debug COBOL programs to enhance the debt management system's capabilities and ensure its smooth operation.
• Optimize and tune SQL queries for performance improvements and data retrieval efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the debt management system, working closely with support teams and end-users.
• Perform system upgrades and enhancements, keeping up-to-date with industry best practices and technological advancements.
• Collaborate with the QA team to conduct testing and ensure the reliability and stability of the debt management system.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including system design, code documentation, and process workflows.
• Provide training and technical support to team members and end-users as needed.

• Proven experience with minimum 7 years experience as a Debt Manager Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in configuration and customization of debt management systems.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL, with the ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and troubleshoot issues.
• Proficiency in COBOL programming language, including design, development, testing, and debugging.
• Exposure to agile delivery Scrum, Kanban and or SAFe/
• Familiarity with debt collection and recovery processes and best practices.
• Experience with system integration and data exchange between debt management systems and other business applications.
• Solid understanding with API architecture with the related integration protocols (e.g. Web Services (REST & JSON), as well as the related security requirements/models
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and methodologies and technical skills in the following areas:
