Job Description

A global pharmaceutical company has a vacancy for a Medical Sales Representative to promote their Neuroscience portfolio to healthcare professionals and ensuring the achievement of company goals and objectives within Port Elizabeth.
Key Responsibilities:

• Visit assigned healthcare professionals in the area to provide product information and promote awareness.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals to influence prescription behaviour as well as sales.
• Achieve the company's call rate targets to ensure comprehensive coverage of the target customer base.

Achieving Area Budget:

• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and maximize market share within the assigned territory.
• Continuously monitor sales performance, identify areas of improvement, and take corrective actions to ensure the area reaches or exceeds the company budget.

Carrying out Company Campaigns and Activities:

• Effectively implement marketing strategies, campaigns, and promotional activities within the assigned territory.
• Conduct product presentations, organize educational events, and participate in medical conferences as required.
• Provide timely feedback to the marketing team on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to support the development of effective marketing strategies

Monthly Country Trip:

• Be available to participate in a monthly country trip to collaborate with the national sales team, share best practices, and align regional objectives with the company goals.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions with healthcare professionals in the CRM system.
• Stay informed about the latest medical and scientific developments relevant to the assigned therapeutic areas.
• Continuously enhance product knowledge and stay up to date with competitors' products.
• Comply with all relevant legal, ethical, and regulatory guidelines governing pharmaceutical sales activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field is advantageous.
• Proven experience as a Medical Representative or similar role in the pharmaceutical industry is desirable.
• Strong understanding of sales and general medicine is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage healthcare professionals.
• Results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while also being a team player.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle, and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and proficiency in using digital tools as well as MS Office for sales activities is an advantage.
