Job Description

Matric/ N3 is mandatory
Supply Chain/Logistics qualification is preferred
Knowledge of a Warehouse Management System is required
3-5 years experience working in a similar role of dispatch and inventory management within packaging or pharmaceutical industry
Good communication skills are essential
Oversee a team of 15 staff (stock controllers, pickers, packers, loaders, drivers etc)
Supervising daily activities of reporting staff including handling the disciplining and development of staff
Ability to work as part of a team
Maintaining an accurate and relevant finished goods inventory
Ensuring that drivers and vehicle loading assistants adhere to their duties as per their job descriptions
Coordinating and controlling loading of final orders
Ensuring that all products are checked for deviations from quality standards such as labels, lot or batch numbers and packaging before loading
Maintaining good housekeeping practices in the dispatch area
Implementing and maintaining measures to reduce wastage of and damage to stock being loaded
Handling Stock control including Daily Cycle Counts and Stock Takes
Handling investigations and resolving work problems
Maintaining computerised Warehouse Management controls daily
Completing the daily, weekly and monthly reports on Excel
Implementing and Managing Health and Safety processes and procedures
Completing of ad hoc duties as required by the Manager
Source completed invoices from relevant division
