As a Desk Controller, you will be the central hub of communication and logistical support for our Line Maintenance Operations. You'll ensure that technicians, flight crews, and support teams have the right information, tools, and resources to keep aircraft moving safely and efficiently. From managing schedules and equipment to updating systems and liaising with internal and external stakeholders, your role is key to maintaining operational flow and customer satisfaction.
Principal Accountabilities
Communicate operational information to flight crew, technical staff, departments, and customer airlines (e.g. parking bays, ETAs, MEL deferments, ETOPS checks, fuel figures, etc.)
Compile and update aircraft schedules, ensuring availability to all relevant personnel
Monitor schedule changes and communicate updates promptly
Arrange aircraft spares and ground handling equipment as needed
Track and record aircraft movements between SAAT Technical and ramp areas
Update maintenance information on web-based platforms for foreign operators
Ensure IT systems and programs required for maintenance and scheduling are operational
Monitor stationery supplies and report needs to the Manager
Perform reasonable requests from the Manager to support operational needs
Qualifications & Experience
A qualified aircraft technician with 2 years post-apprenticeship experience,
OR
An appointed production controller, planner, or aviation storeman with 5 years' experience and a solid understanding of Line Maintenance activities

Communication (English - verbal & written) Advanced
Microsoft Office & Outlook - Intermediate
