BRIEF

Buchule Engineers (PTY) Ltd is seeking a Design Technologist/Technician with extensive experience in bulk water, wastewater and sewer projects. The Designer will be based in the Queenstown office in the Eastern Cape.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Independently execute all design stages from designs to technical reports Have an understanding of what is expected from the team to ensure delivery of projects; while sourcing the required information, clarity, tools, or support as needed to enable the team to succeed. Take ownership and lead on technical matters on projects to which you are assigned. Prepare technical engineering reports, designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications.

Detail Design of Civil Engineering services

Preliminary site investigations, collection of data and feasibility studies Calculation of Scheme demands for water and sewer networks Design of Water and Sewer Reticulation and bulk networks Design of Sewer and Water Pumpstations Design of Water Purification systems and Wastewater Treatment Plants Design of stormwater, roads, structures and general civil engineering services will be an added advantage

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

NQF 7/6 Qualification in Civil Engineering Thorough proficiency in design software; Civil designer, Autocad, Civil 3D, etc 5 years of experience working in the design office as a Design Engineer/Technologist/Technician. Thorough understanding of Design Standards and contracts such as SANS, COTO, GCC, JBCC, etc.
