Requirements:
Culinary qualification preferred.
2 - 3 years experience in a Demi Chef/Chef de Partie role in a 5 star environment.
Knowledge of all kitchen sections and cooking techniques.
Familiarity with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Ability to produce high-quality food with attention to detail.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Multitasking and adaptability under pressure.
Good oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of various cooking methods, equipment, and ingredients.
Commitment to cleanliness and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Run a kitchen section and report to the Sous Chef
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in your specialty area
Plan and execute mise en place according to SOP, ensuring proper handover
Order supplies for your section and manage stock control
Supervise the setup and readiness of menu items in your section
Collaborate with Chefs to ensure consistency in seasoning, portions, and presentation
Maintain proper food storage practices to avoid wastage
Deliver dishes promptly, adapting to last-minute changes as needed
Follow safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices at all times
Keep detailed records of preparation and presentation for reference
Coordinate tasks with team members and help them achieve optimum results.
