Job Description


Reporting to Demand Manager MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: The role is responsible for ensuring the availability of all stock items across all sectors of the Company, by applying their proactive demand skills in SAP and experience in Demand planning on a daily basis Key Performance Areas: Forecast accuracy: Improving forecast accuracy by mutual agreement on forecast with various product Managers on a monthly basis (SAP). Implement new workable ideas and turn all key planners needs, into demand. Gather, analyze and validate data. Execute statistical modelling software. Review resulting statistical forecast model. Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting. Summarize/aggregate statistical forecasts. Recommend adjustments for operational forecast. Facilitate and manage demand planning/commercial meetings. Inventory Management: Ensure the conversion of Purchase requisitions to purchase orders in SAP as per the demand and ensure system is update with accurate info at all times. Proactively work with QA to ensure products are released on time to avoid out of stocks. Be responsible for the accurate creation and maintenance of material master data in SAP and closely work with all stakeholders that have to provide info for new product codes. Communicate any critical shortages in advance to Product management and continuously work at improving stock availability. Replenishment: Replenish all branches to the required safety stock levels in SAP. Customer Service: Ensure accurate communication to all customers both internally and externally as a proactive requirement. Prepare and maintain relevant demand planning reports. Financial Effectiveness: Ensure minimal write-offs on inventory. Ensuring FIFO is followed when replenishment is planned and ensure shorter dated stock is circulated to where it is needed.
Required Level of Education: Undergraduate diploma / degree in Inventory Management / commerce / similar. General knowledge (formal or informal) of Pharmaceutical industry and requirements. Skills & Experience: 3+ years experience in forecasting / planning / Supply Chain Exception identification & management Experienced in working in various SAP Supply chain models is a must Experience in ERP SAP/ AS 400 or similar Customer Service - Continuous Improvement Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) - Email - S.A.P. business information systems Minimum of Intermediate Level MS Excel Positive attitude to change Numerate, analytical Ability to Influence at all levels Operating in a high pressurized environment Evidence of capability to build positive, powerful working relationships within team environment Operating with minimal degree of supervision Monthly, yearly and strategic planning
