Our client has an opportunity available for a Demand Planner based in Cape Town.

Requirements:

A pertinent education in Demand Planning.
Strong analytical, negotiating, and customer service skills.
5+ years of experience in a related field.
ERP Systems Knowledge.
Working overtime and long hours when necessary.
Strong knowledge of the demand planning process and the production planning process.
Solid forecasting and planning knowledge, understanding, and experience.

Responsibilities:

Meet dietary requirements and stock holding goals.
Creating weekly and monthly forecast reports using statistics.
Enhance forecasting approaches, methods, and processes
Developing and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.
Assessing the impact of forecast accuracy.
Ensuring that forecasting procedures are followed.
Analyze and compile all the information needed to create the sales projection.
Suggest modifications to forecast and inventory goals considering shifts in demand and market trends.
Prepare measurements for forecast, inventory, and replenishment and report them to senior management.
Update management reports every week and every day.
Strategic and operational participation in all demand planning activities, including cost-cutting.
Use internal systems for data analysis and reporting effectively.
