Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a DeFi Technical Project Manager - this is a fully-remote role and candidates can be based globally.We are building decentralized financial infrastructure to support the next generation of on-chain structured credit and asset-backed protocols. We operate at the convergence of protocol engineering, DeFi capital markets, and real-world assetsxe2x80x94partnering with leading issuers, DAOs, and institutional-grade blockchain projects. Currently we manage ~$1B in assets and are growing quickly.Role OverviewWe are looking for a DeFi Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate the integration of our infrastructure with key DeFi protocols, asset issuers, and foundations. This is a hybrid strategic and execution role requiring technical fluency, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to drive high-leverage implementations from ideation throug h w ill be the connective tissue between our engineering teams, our protocol partners, and ecosystem stakeholdersxe2x80x94ensuring successful technical integrations, timely delivery, and alignment with our roadmap and partners incentives.Key ResponsibilitiesPartnership ExecutionOwn the lifecycle of protocol and issuer integrationsxe2x80x94from initial technical scoping to mainnet deployment.Serve as the primary technical point of contact for partners (foundations, protocols, DAOs, RWA issuers).Lead onboarding and technical due diligence with new ecosystem participants.Project & Stakeholder ManagementTranslate strategic partnership goals into executable project plans with timelines, deliverables, and success criteria.Align internal resources (engineering, product, legal) to support external implementation milestones.Maintain clear communication with all parties, ensuring proactive updates and risk flagging.Integration ManagementCommunicate smart contract interface specifications, oracle feed alignments, custody solutions, and bridge deployments.Manage integration testing and partner-side QA processes.Technical CommunicationCreate clear documentation, and progress updates for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Act as a liaison between internal developers and external protocol teams, ensuring interoperability and protocol security best practices.Required Qualifications35 years of technical project management experience, ideally in a high-growth startup or protocol environment.Strong understanding of DeFi infrastructure (oracles, cross-chain messaging, smart contract architectures).Demonstrated success managing external technical partnerships and integrations in the crypto or fintech space.Familiarity with Solidity, EVM-compatible chains, and protocol development workflows.Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to handle complexity and ambiguity with precision.Preferred ExperiencePrevious experience working with major protocols (Aave, Chainlink, MakerDAO, Frax, etc.) or RWA issuers.Prior technical background a plus (e.g., software engineering, smart contract auditing, or protocol architecture).Experience working in DAO-governed ecosystems or Web3-native org structures.Ability to translate technical details into high-level strategic insights.
