Ensure adherence to systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts receivable functions to company guidelines and address any risks identified
Ensure effective monitoring of deposit account and follow procedures to transfer funds
Provides accounting assistance to grant managers and operations staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs
Acts as a liaison between the grants, customers, and auditors to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes
Devise and maintain a manual filing and storage system as required per WHC policies and procedures
Comply with Foreign Exchange requirements for foreign payments received and the accurate reporting thereof per IFRS as well as grant requirements
Attend all staffing administration
Manage staff to ensure optimal utilization
Staff supervision
Manage HR-related issues i.e. performance management, timesheets, etc.
Facilitate performance appraisals
Mentor team members to ensure appropriate knowledge and skills
Assist staff with queries and redirect if necessary
Required minimum education and training:
Diploma or Bachelorxe2x80x99s Degree
Required minimum work experience:
3 years of Management Experience
Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional organization and administrative skills
Sound financial and business acumen
Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills with advanced Excel skills
Experience working with IFRS and accounting software
Knowledge of relevant legislation xe2x80x93 The National Credit Act would be advantageous
Working overtime may be required from time to time
Able to travel to visit sites as and when required
