About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

Debtors Controller

to join our Finance Department. This role is essential to ensuring accurate invoicing, effective customer account management, and timely collection of payments. You will work closely with Operations and Management to support financial decision making and maintain the company's financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full debtors function and ensure all accounts are collected promptly. Raise Sales Orders daily and ensure timely invoicing of all deliveries. Reconcile trips completed to invoices raised for accurate billing. Maintain an accurate debtors book and ensure all payments are received within agreed terms. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly debtors and income reports. Produce clean and accurate monthly Debtors Age Analysis. Maintain accurate financial records, including PODs, invoices, statements, and reconciliations. Support operational decision-making through financial analysis. Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and company policies. Escalate irregularities that may impact cash flow or financial controls.

What You Bring

Minimum 5 years' experience

as a Debtors Controller or similar finance role. Strong numeracy and analytical ability. Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with both internal teams and customers. High proficiency in

Pastel

and

Excel

. Strong attention to detail and an investigative mindset. Ability to prioritise, meet strict deadlines, and work under pressure. Solid understanding of logistics or transport operations (advantageous). Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
