Our client in th based in Port Elizabeth, is currently looking to employ a Debtors and Creditors Clerk/Bookkeeper.

Requirements:

• At least five years bookkeeping experience.
• A formal qualification would be an advantage xe2x80x93 experience over qualification would certainly be considered.
• Experience with Xero essential.
• Computer literacy essential, especially MS Excel, Word, etc.
• Strong numeric skills.
• Bilingual, but strong in English language in reading and writing skills.
• Experience with invoicing, discounts, and credits.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Make follow-up calls.
• Identify which accounts are overdue.
• Contact companies or people owing money and report back to management.
• Reconcile and allocation of transporters PODs to invoices.
• Ensure invoices are accurately captured on a daily basis.
• Ensure that the banking details on supplier invoices match those of the creditor being paid.
• Respond to all queries relating to payments.
• Perform monthly supplier reconciliations to support all payments to approved suppliers.
• Deal with queries from creditors and staff regarding payments.
• Monitor and validate all invoices.
• Prepare a debtor report and submit it on a monthly basis.
• Hand over completed documentation for approval and authorization.
• Maintain the accounts receivable systems in order to ensure complete and accurate records of all funds.
• Manage CGIC limits to debtors.
• Liaison with warehouse/logistics staff for PODs.
• Issuing of statements.
