Where will the successful candidate fit in?

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilities management, including access, upkeep and maintenance within the RSAWEB data centre. This role also manages a team of Field Technicians who handle installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment at customer premises and field locations.

Facilities Maintenance & Operations

Oversee maintenance, repairs, and upgrades the RSAWEB data centre and access nodes. Manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standard

Vendor & Contractor Management

Source, evaluate, and manage external contractors for security, maintenance, and other facility services. Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments Coordinate emergency response plans and fire drills

Data centre and Infrastructure

Facilitate Data centre access Facilitate access nodes maintenance Facilitate data centre maintenance Vendor management Staff supervision

Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor a team of Field Installation Technicians. Schedule, allocate, and oversee installation, maintenance, and service tasks. Provide training, performance reviews, and technical guidance to team members. Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols during all field activities.

Operational Efficiency:

Collaborate with network engineers and project managers for infrastructure readiness. Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and consumables for both DC and field operations. Document all installations, changes, and incidents using relevant systems.

Requirements

Completed grade 12 or equivalent. 4 years' experience in Facilities Management. 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role. Proven experience working with HVAC systems and processes. Proven experience with health and safety procedures in a facilities environment. Experience with structured cabling, power systems, and field installations.
