Where will the successful candidate fit in?
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the access, upkeep and maintenance within the DC. This role also manages a team of Field Installation Technicians who handle installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment at customer premises and field locations.
Job Requirements
DC Infrastructure:
Facilitate Data centre access
Facilitate access nodes maintenance
Facilitate data centre maintenance
Vendor management
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor a team of Field Installation Technicians.
Schedule, allocate, and oversee installation, maintenance, and service tasks.
Provide training, performance reviews, and technical guidance to team members.
Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols during all field activities.
Operational Efficiency:
Collaborate with network engineers and project managers for infrastructure readiness.
Troubleshoot escalated technical issues and coordinate resolution.
Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and consumables for both DC and field operations.
Document all installations, changes, and incidents using relevant systems.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in IT, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco CCNA, Data Centre Certified Associate) advantageous.
4+ years in data centre infrastructure or field technical support.
2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Experience with structured cabling, power systems, and field installations.
