Data Scientist at PwC Deals

Recent graduate or up to c.4 years experience with the following qualifications and an excellent academic record:

Minimum of a Bachelors/Honors degree (NQF 8)

Quantitative/analytical focused degree (actuarial science, industrial engineering, business science/finance/accounting/investment management, advanced analytics, data science or related fields)

Experience working in a top tier corporate finance or management consulting environment is beneficial

Experience working with data analytics tools such as (but not limited to): Alteryx Designer, Python, R-studio, PowerBI, Tableau, AnyLogic

Experience applying data science concepts to business problems with demonstrable impact is a plus

Intermediate modeling capabilities (Business drivers, Simulation modeling etc.)

Aptitude for analytics and enjoys solving challenging and ambiguous problems with a commercial mindset

Displays an enquiring mind to pick up on potential opportunities and issues that can be solved through data after speaking to C-suite stakeholders

Strong record of leadership and initiative taking

Interested in gaining professional experience across a wide range of client organizations, industries and business functions in an M&A environment

Excited about building new skills in analytics across data visualization, optimization, geospatial and machine learning capabilities

Creating deeper insights through the use of big data and analytics skills for the wider Deals practice.

Practicing an iterative approach to engaging with the client throughout the project duration.
