Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or similar.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role.
Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience in working with relational databases, query authoring as well as working with other databases.
Experience in working with the following software/tools:

Microsoft BI Tools (SQL/SSIS/SSRS/SSAS/PowerBI)
Relational SQL and NoSQL databases including MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra
Object oriented scripting language: Python
Stream processing systems: Spark, Rabbit MQ, Storm
Big data tools: Synapse, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka etc.
Data pipeline and workflow management tools: Data Factory, Luigi, Airflow etc.
Cloud services: Azure, AWS, GCP etc.
Experience in building and optimising 'big data' data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
Strong analytic skills related to working with both structured and unstructured datasets.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Expert proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet software and database structures
