Responsibilities:
- Build systems for collecting, validating and preparing high-quality data
- Analyse and convert raw data into usable information
- Implement methods to improve data reliability and quality
- Make data accessible for organisation to use to evaluate and optimise performance
- Automate data workflows
- Develop and test architectures that enable data extraction and transformation for predictive or prescriptive modeling
- Develop and maintain datasets
- Build algorithms and prototypes
- Collaborate with data scientists and architects on projects
- Solid experience in data engineering
- Demonstrated experience in using programming languages e.g., Python, Java, SQL, JavaScript, Visual Basic, Delphi, Perl, PHP, ECMAScript, Ruby, C#
- Experience in computing networks e.g., Hadoop
- Knowledge in data mining and data models
- Ability to read, understand and write code
- Understanding of big data technology
- Programming languages
- Data Architecture
- Analytical skills
- Data Warehousing
- Technical report writing
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field
