Role Purpose

To design, implement, and maintain the data architecture within Momentum Corporate by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective data management, integration, and accessibility. Drive data-driven decision-making and support the organization's strategic goals.
Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.

• Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a track record of successful data architecture design and implementation.

• Strong expertise in data modeling, database design, and data integration techniques.

• Proficiency in data management tools, such as relational databases, NoSQL databases, data warehouses, ETL tools, etc.

• 2-3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience with data governance, data security, and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data processing (e.g., SQL, Python, Java).

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and related services on AWS

• 3-4 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in designing and implementing big data and analytics platforms like Hadoop and Apache Spark

Duties & Responsibilities

Data Architecture Design:

• Develop and maintain the overall data architecture strategy and vision.

• Design data models, databases, data warehouses, and data lakes to support various business needs.

• Define and implement data integration, transformation, and migration strategies.

Data Governance and Management:

• Establish data governance policies, standards, and best practices.

• Ensure data quality, accuracy, consistency, and security across the organization.

• Define and enforce data access controls and permissions.

Data Integration and ETL:

• Design and implement efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into the data ecosystem.

• Identify opportunities for automating and optimizing data integration workflows.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Collaborate with data analysts and business intelligence teams to design and optimize data structures for reporting and analysis purposes.

• Assist in creating and maintaining data visualizations, dashboards, and reports.

Technology Evaluation and Selection:

• Stay updated on emerging data technologies and trends, and evaluate their relevance to the organization.

• Recommend and select appropriate tools, platforms, and frameworks for data management, storage, and processing.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand their data requirements and provide technical guidance.

• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Performance Optimization:

• Monitor and optimize data architecture performance, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement.

• Implement strategies to enhance data processing speed, scalability, and efficiency.
