Main Function

To perform individually and as part of the Entertainment team to Socialize with and entertain Passengers throughout the cruise.

Qualifications

Ability to fluently communicate in English. Preference is given to candidate also able to communicate easily in Italian, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and lead Gym classes in these languages. Proven experience and expertise as Dance Instructor (male or female) in a similar working environment at sea or ashore Ability to entertain, communicate and socialize with persons of all nationalities, ages and backgrounds Above average skills in tactful, diplomatic crisis and problem handling Proven ability to work in a harmonious productive team environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the Cruise Activities Manager in entertainment/dancing activities Lead dance lessons when required by the Cruise Activities Manager Provide a dance performance when required by the Cruise Activities Manager Prepare at least 3 different Dance Demonstration that will be used to enrich the Animation Ability to lead the majority of the following dance classes:
Caribbean Dances: Salsa, Merengue, Bachata Latin Dances : Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive, Paso Doble, etc. Ballroom Dances: Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, etc. Brazilian dances: Samba, Forro', Sertanejo, Axe Miscellaneous: Break dance, Hip Hop, Belly dance,Tango argentine, etc.
Socialize with Passenger at all times, giving special attention to the very young, the very old, any disadvantaged persons, Passenger travelling alone, or Passengers of minority languages where involvement may be difficult. Stimulate and help to create a social atmosphere amongst the Passengers
