Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum one relevant certification required:

CompTIA Security+ Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate Or equivalent
Technical Skills

3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or information security roles Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) Experience with security tools: SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, IDS/IPS, EDR solutions Proficiency in network security concepts: firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, secure architectures Knowledge of operating system security (Windows, Linux, macOS) Understanding of cloud security (Azure, AWS, or GCP) Experience with security compliance requirements (POPIA, GDPR, PCI-DSS) Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for security automation
Professional Skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences Client-facing experience with demonstrated ability to build trust and relationships Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously Strong documentation and report writing skills Proactive mindset with ability to anticipate and prevent security issues
Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: R20000,00 - R35000,00 per month

Work Location: On the road
