Job Description

Our client is seeking for a highly skilled IT Cyber Security Specialist to strengthen our organisation's security posture.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis
• Monitor networks and systems for security breaches or suspicious activity
• Respond to security incidents and perform root-cause analysis
• Manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security tools
• Lead security awareness programs and provide training to staff
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and industry standards
• Collaborate with IT teams on secure system design and architecture

Job Experience and Key Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of experience in IT security, cyber defence, or related fields
• Strong understanding of network security, cloud security, and endpoint protection
• Experience with SIEM tools, threat detection, and incident response
• Knowledge of frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, or similar
• Familiarity with firewall management, VPNs, antivirus, and encryption technologies
• Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Relevant certifications beneficial (e.g., CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with malware analysis or threat hunting
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and DevSecOps
• Background in forensic investigations or SOC operations
