Cutting Room Specialist - DurbanClassic Quilter a well-established clothing manufacturer in Durban is currently looking to employ a Cutting Room Specialist.This is an opportunity to develop both management and manufacturing expertise.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Management of a large Cutting RoomOversee processes:- Laying up- Cutting- Soabering- Fusing & transferringAnalyse & resolve cutting room-related problemsEstablish & adjust work procedure to meet production scheduleEnsure efficiencies of processes & proceduresAdjust work schedules to meet deadlinesManage supervisors to ensure functional teamsDevelop and oversee skills within operating teamsEnsure correct laying-up & cutting techniques are followed effectivelyFacilitate better inter-departmental communicationREQUIREMENTS:Clothing manufacturing related qualifications essentialExcellent knowledge of fabricsUnderstanding of linen construction process essentialUnderstanding of Pattern making / Grading / Marker making Strong leadership characteristics and experience required.REMUNERATION:Market-related salary including a benefits package.Job Type: PermanentSalary: From R10,000.00 per monthAbility to commute/relocate:Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
