Customer Engineer required for our client in Witbank, Mpumalanga.
Requirements -
Grade 12
Relevant diploma or degree in computer science, information technology,
information systems, or similar
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
3 years of experience in IT as a Functional Specialist
Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies
Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security
Sets up and monitors computer-based training programs.
Designs and develops computer- based assessments and training aids using
different tools and concepts.
Hardware and software support, replacements, repairs, services, and
inventory management.
Liaising with external support company
Keeping website updated.
Ensuring all software are properly licensed.
Develop and implement IT strategy and IT budget.
Development of hostel booking system in Micro Soft Access.
Input into IT acceptable use policy development.
Keep abreast of IT technology, maintain library of information.
Monitoring and maintaining networks and servers.
Upgrading, installing, and configuring new hardware and software to meet
company objectives.
Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.
Creating user accounts and performing access control.
Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer
systems.
Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving data.
Developing data retrieval and recovery procedures.
Designing and implementing efficient end-user feedback and error reporting
systems.
Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration.
