Job Description


Our client is looking for a CTO to join their team. As Chief Technical Officer (CTO) you will be responsible for overseeing the development and dissemination of technology for external customers, vendors, and other clients to help improve and increase business. You will deal with internal IT operations and play a vital role in reporting to and supporting executive team in meetings. As CTO you will manage technology team, define the technology stack, manage operations, track performance, have a technical vision and represent the company externally and in all events.

The CTO will work along the CEO and CFO supporting vision and mission build towards the common goal that can drive success of the company, be present in all meetings and oversee project builds, timelines and manage budgets.

This role requires confidence to effectively lead a team of people across multiple departments. Must be proficient in technical,
business, and management skills. Set the technical direction for your product development, create, and execute a strategic plan; identify the exact resources necessary to put the plan into action; and oversee the entire process from start to finish.

The CTO must be able to thrive in a high-pressure environment and be results driven. As CTO you will be leading,
managing, and developing the team with the aim of continuously improving performance and departmental objectives. In addition, CTO will culture a highly motivated team that is empowered and able to execute against tight delivery plans.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary and Honours degree in a science related field.
  • A minimum of 10 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in technology with demonstrated technical expertise.
  • A minimum of 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a similar capacity (CIO / CTO).
  • Demonstratable background in software engineering, architecture, data engineering and project management.
  • Demonstratable evidence of designing / developing IT architecture and systems.
  • Multiple references for successful planning and delivery of large-scale technology systems.
  • Expertise in Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to (.Net; C#; SQL), Angular, TypeScript, HTML,
  • Web API, Entity Framework, LINQ, Dapper, nServiceBus, MSMQ, MongoDB and Domain Driven Design.
  • Demonstratable evidence of the creation and implementation of true-cloud migration strategies.
  • Experience in leading and managing diverse teams.
  • Experience in the payments industry would be advantageous.
  • MBA, Master's degree or degree in computer sciences, information technology or technology management (or similar field) advantageous.
