Crusher - General Engineering Superintendent (GES) needed in Kathu / Hozatel, Northern Cape - Permanent position.Minimum Requirements:National Senior CertificateValid driversxe2x80x99 licenceMust have N4 or Equivalent Engineering Tertiary qualixefxacx81cationMust be a qualixefxacx81ed Artisan (Fitter/Electric)5 years previous experience as Supervisor/Foreman in the Crushing and Screening industryRelevant experience in an open cast mining environmentKnowledge / Competencies /Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English PC proficient including Microsoft OfficeProven record of supervisory skillsProblem solving techniques and the application thereofExtensive knowledge of technical field of heavy machinery equipmentResponsibility:SafetyCompliance with all safety regulations as set out in the mines policiesInvestigate all incidents and accidents as per SOPsEnsure action is taken on all deviances identifiedEnsure a safety conscious working environmentMaintenance ManagementExecute maintenance work in accordance with maintenance management policyEnsure that root cause failure analysis (RCFAs) action plans are executed within assigned deadlinesAssist subordinates with fault finding and technical analysis on machinesAdvises on applicable parts and components to be replaced or re-usedReview planned maintenance work based on breakdowns and RCFAsEnsure that workforce is adequately equipped with tools and equipment to execute the required work safely and as per OEM standardsLabour ManagementAssist the maintenance manager to fill vacanciesReview the performance of the engineering foremen on a monthly basisManage workshop and plant disciplineInitiate training and development matrix for the workforce and put action plans in place to fill the gapsEquipment AvailabilityConduct monthly and quarterly inspections on all equipmentProvide technical assistance and direction to other functional groups in order to drive quality improvements and enhance the maintenance functionDuties, Responsibilities & Reasons for Leaving at each Company MUST be listed on CV.
