Our client is looking for Cross Boarder Payments Processing Officer. This role will expose you to a diverse working environment with endless opportunities to grow as an individual and to work for an organization that promotes equality. This is a 6-month contract

This candidate is to ensure that daily processing of all transactions processed timeously and accurately whilst mitigating risk by ensuring all processes and procedures adhered to within the relevant cut off times, also to attend to the daily receipts and dispatch of online and swift message processing.

• National Certificate (Matric)
• Diploma in Banking
• White belt (Six Sigma training)
• Knowledge/understanding of Foreign Exchange and Payments used within the Bank. Experience within Payments with a good understanding of (Swift)Society for Worldwide International Financial Telecommunications
• Good understanding of the various system used within the Bank: Branch delivery system(BDS), Domestic Treasury system(DTS)Retail Forex(RFS)3270 ,Rand Payment system(ZAPS) and Credit System
• Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Knowledge of Money Laundering and FICA
• Clear knowledge and application of the concept of Retail Forex System, Trade Finance System, Intellimatch, Bank credit systems
• Knowledge of exchange rates, conversions, balance of payments reporting (BOP), exchange control regulations, formatting of Society for worldwide international financial telecommunications messages (SWIFT)
• Knowledge and ability to work on MS Office, Excel/Word, Internet and MS.
• The ability to effectively and efficiently manage business related data in an accurate manner, through the application of various technologies
• The ability to store, retrieve and when needed, destroy documents according to regulatory requirements and company policies for document management.

• To provide superior assistance and service to all customers who interact with Inward Telegraphic Transfers via the call centre line telephonically or via an electronic medium.
• To ensure that all transactions to be processed accurately within the required turnaround time with minimum risk and cost to the Bank.
• Ensure that payments are be prioritized by value date.
• To ensure all clients receive prompt feedback regarding the funds tracing queries.
• Ensure all payments processed before the respective currency cut off times.
• Obtain the necessary regulatory compliance reporting details to complete the Balance of Payment (BOP) record - Balance of Payment (BOP) category amongst other client missing information.
• Ensuring that all Balance of Payment (BOP) records are completed and submitted to the CD within two business days.
• Amend and update all exceptions on the appropriate systems by ensuring the respective fields on the swift payment instruction are correct and accurate.
• Capture all swift message processing messages, memos and deleted items that are given by the senior officers in the CIB Operations Payments Department i.e., Releaser/ Supervisor and or Manager.
• Attend to all Continuous Link Settlement (CLS) payments every morning, focus is required on the xc3xa2xe2x82xacxc5x93Pending CLSxc3xa2xe2x82xacxc2x9d (Continuous Link Settlement) queue and the swift instruction must be checked against the error fields on the Rand Payments system and amended accordingly. The values on these transactions range from any amount up to R5 billion and higher.
• Ensure that payments are prioritized by first processing the outgoing and then the incoming payments.
• Ensure that all transactions appearing in the exception queues is checked against the instruction received and the error fields amended accordingly and processed before the cut off time.
• Ensure all revenue recovered.
• Assume full accountability of problem resolution.
• To ensure that SLAxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s and turnaround times are met.
• To manage stakeholder relationships through continuous communication and strive to improve operational efficiencies.
• In verification process, if no errors are identified, the transaction may be captured and/or released within laid down service level agreements on the relevant systems.
