We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Credit Risk Modeler to join our Lending Team. This role is central to developing and maintaining credit risk models that support decision-making, regulatory compliance, and strategic risk assessment across our lending products. Key Responsibilities:

• Build, implement, and maintain credit risk models for merchant and consumer advances.
• Design and enhance credit scoring models to support lending decisions and customer lifecycle strategies.
• Conduct model validation, performance monitoring, and diagnostics to ensure model robustness and reliability.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Business Analysts to ensure high-quality inputs and effective data integration.
• Document model development processes and prepare detailed reports for internal governance and audit.
• Support stress testing, scenario analysis, and capital planning initiatives.
• Stay current on evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices in modelling and analytics.
• Present model outcomes and insights to internal stakeholders and governance committees.
• Contribute to the automation and deployment of models into operational systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field. Post-graduate qualifications (MSc/PhD) are advantageous.
• 3-7 years of experience in credit risk modelling or quantitative analytics within financial services, fintech, or consulting.
• Proven track record in developing data-driven credit models.
• Strong understanding of the credit lifecycle, risk metrics, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Proficient in statistical programming tools such as R, Python, or SAS, and SQL for data manipulation.
• Exposure to machine learning techniques is a plus.
• Experience in fintech or highly data-driven environments is desirable.
