Credit Risk Assistant Manager

Job Description
Work with a leading advisory team delivering innovative credit risk, financial modelling, and regulatory solutions across Africa. Engage in high-impact projects for clients in financial services, telecoms, retail, and healthcare, both locally and internationally.
Responsibilities:
- Build and calibrate credit risk models
- Validate, test, and monitor model performance
- Benchmark credit metrics against market peers
- Analyse credit portfolios for key insights
- Review deliverables for quality and accuracy
- Communicate findings and challenges with stakeholders
- Draft project reports
- Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Actuarial Science, Economics, or similar
- 35 years experience in credit risk - banking, consulting, or related fields
- Solid credit risk modelling and predictive analytics skills
- Understanding of credit lifecycle, Basel, model risk, and IFRS 9
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Coding in SAS, R, Python (incl. Enterprise Guide)
