Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for managing customer accounts and driving effective credit control processes?
My client is looking for a Credit Controller to join their finance team and play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth and professional credit operations.
This is a one-year contract role based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.
What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Customer Master Data Management:

• Open and maintain customer accounts, ensuring that legal documentation is in place
• Keep customer data up to date on internal systems and SAP
• Credit Control & Collections:

• Conduct the dunning process through courteous customer calls and follow-ups
• Allocate incoming payments, discounts, and manage reconciliations
• Submit and monitor payment plans
• Assist customers with credit and administrative queries
• Bad Debt & Risk Management:

• Monitor slow payers using Experian processes
• Raise early warnings on overdue accounts
• Prepare documentation for legal handovers
• Credit Administration:

• Liaise with sales teams and Reps to resolve account issues
• Process credit notes and invoices via SAP
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper archiving procedures
• Verify sureties and manage customer status changes
• Credit Ticket Management & Support:

• Follow up on customer credit tickets and support the credit team with account queries

Requirements:

• Completed Matric and Credit Management Certificate
• Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable
• Strong working knowledge of SAP and Excel
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
• A collaborative, proactive approach with a solution-driven mindset
