Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Truck Driver with a valid crane operator certificate and a minimum of two years' practical experience operating crane trucks within the last ten years. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation, loading, unloading, and transport of materials using a crane truck across various project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate crane truck safely and efficiently to lift, move, position, and place loads as required. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the crane truck and report any defects or issues. Ensure proper securing of loads during transport and adhere to all load capacity limits. Transport materials and equipment to designated locations in compliance with traffic and safety laws. Follow site-specific safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Coordinate with site supervisors, riggers, and ground crews to ensure safe lifting operations. Maintain accurate records of crane operations, delivery schedules, and maintenance logs. Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs to ensure optimal equipment functionality. Assist with general site duties when not operating the crane truck.

Minimum Requirements:

Valid Crane Operator Certificate (accredited and recognized in South Africa). At least 2 years of crane truck operation experience within the past 10 years. Valid Code 10 or Code 14 driver's license with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP). Knowledge of crane safety protocols, lifting procedures, and rigging principles. Ability to read and interpret load charts, job instructions, and site plans. Physically fit, alert, and safety-conscious. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
