Job Description


As the Estate Manager at a prestigious Country Estate located in Sandton, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our beautiful residential estate. The estate is well-maintained and has a wide range of amenities, including a clubhouse, swimming pool, tennis courts, and a gym. The estate is also located close to a number of schools, shopping malls, and restaurants. You will work closely with the Board of Directors and sub-committees to ensure that the estate meets the highest standards of safety, security, and maintenance. You will also be responsible for promoting and maintaining the estate's reputation, ensuring the financial stability of the HOA, and complying with all laws and regulations.

You will be a perfect fit if you have the following:
  • Min 5 years of captivating expertise in Residential Estate Management
  • Proficiency in managing debtors
  • Strong bookkeeping skills
  • Familiarity with handling petty cash, including disbursement of casual wages from petty cash
  • Possession of a personal bank account for wage disbursements
  • Ability to maintain balance in petty cash transactions
  • Flexibility to work on occasional weekends, especially during various functions
  • Comfortable interacting with children and animals
  • Willingness to handle messages and tasks outside of regular working hours
  • Openness to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to manage interactions with both children and adults, with a primary focus on adults (8 security guards)
  • Display of a mature and responsible demeanor
You'll be off to a flying start armed with the following skillset:
  • Working knowledge of bookkeeping in order to run a petty cash system to a budget and assist the directors in preparing the annual budget
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, stakeholders, and service providers
  • Project management skills to oversee maintenance, construction, and improvement projects within the estate
  • Familiarity with legal and governance aspects of community schemes, such as sectional title schemes or homeowners' associations
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices to ensure a safe and compliant estate environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in overseeing residential estates, with a history of effective estate management and resident contentment
  • Mediation skills and conflict resolution abilities are essential for handling resident disputes
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is essential
