Job Description
Our client within the manufacturing field is looking for a cost accountant with a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, commerce, mathematics or relevant field. Certifications in Cost Management accounting is advantageous. Candidates must have proven experience within the accounting and manufacturing environments to apply to the role.JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Collect, analyze and report on data about the companys operational costs.
- Establish costs for the various business processes.
- Set standard costs for manufactured goods using cost-volume-profit analysis.
- Prepare standard cost reports, cost comparisons, product costing analysis and variance tracking.
- Develop strategies to reduce cost and study product pricing to maximize profits.
- Assist with the average raw material cost implosions.
- Generate standard BOM costing and pricelists.
- Assist with the cost analysis of strategic business projects.
- Advanced computer literacy, MS Excel, MS Access, Shopware, Syspro.
- Advanced knowledge of mathematics and statistics.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Very high personal standards of accuracy.
- Effective communication, including writing, speaking and active listening.
- Strong time management skills with short response times.
- Ability to work independently.
- Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to grasp and understand manufacturing processes and concepts.
