Job Duties:



Research & Outreach:

Conduct ongoing research into new geographical areas for Octotel's expansion and identify potential partner schools with strong brand visibility opportunities. Maintain an up-to-date database of school contacts, including calendars, event dates, and relevant information. Track the total number of schools and ensure accurate record-keeping across all platforms, including spreadsheets and CSR tools.
Program Promotion & Relationship Building:

Actively promote Octotel's Schools Initiative Program and increase awareness of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments to schools and NGOs. Build and maintain strong relationships with school administrators, NGOs, and community leaders in Octotel's areas. Arrange and attend face-to-face school meetings, interviews, and community greetings.
CSR & Marketing Support:

Develop and implement creative and innovative CSR strategies tailored to the needs of schools and NGOs. Ensure all schools and NGOs sign and adhere to the schools agreement when onboarding new schools. Coordinate CSR/ Marketing activations at school events such as open days, parent-teacher meetings, fundraisers, and sports/fun days. Regularly check school social media platforms for Octotel content visibility and engagement.
Community Engagement & Events:

Attend community events and school functions, occasionally during weekends, to represent Octotel and enhance brand presence. Monitor and respond sensitively to the specific needs of different communities and school environments. Schedule and conduct follow-up visits and check-in meetings to sustain relationships and evaluate ongoing needs. Act as a spokesperson at CSR and community events - must be comfortable with public speaking and engaging diverse audiences in a confident, professional manner.

Requirements:



Completed grade 12 or equivalent Completed relevant tertiary level qualification. Demonstrated experience in public relations, community outreach, or corporate social responsibility roles. A proven ability to think creatively and strategically, especially when designing impactful CSR programs. Strong interpersonal skills, with sensitivity and cultural awareness when engaging with diverse communities. Excellent organizational and administrative capabilities. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between schools and communities. ?Availability to attend events outside of normal working hours when required (this is occasionally)
