Corporate Finance Specialist

Gauteng, South Africa

Job Description

Job Summary Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for financial modelling, investment analysis, and project-based corporate finance? This role offers the opportunity to drive high-impact financial decisions, assess new business opportunities, and support the successful execution of key projects across the business.
This organisation is a well-established, growth-focused company known for delivering large-scale, complex infrastructure and project-based developments across various regions. They operate with a strong emphasis on innovation, financial discipline, and long-term sustainability. The environment is fast-paced, analytical, and highly professional, offering employees exposure to strategic decision-making and end-to-end project development, from initial feasibility through to financial close and ongoing operations.
As the Corporate Finance Specialist, you will play a critical role in evaluating the financial feasibility of new projects, developing and maintaining robust project finance models, and mitigating financial, market, and credit risks. You will support projects from inception through to completion, managing end-to-end project finance processes, engaging with lenders, negotiating funding structures, and presenting insights and recommendations to Executive Leadership, investment committees, and boards.
You will also be responsible for treasury-related activities, analysing credit risk, interpreting complex financial, legal, and commercial information, and ensuring strong financial governance across both project and operating companies.

  • Evaluate customer and counterparty creditworthiness and make informed credit and funding recommendations
  • Review monthly financial performance, support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and reporting
  • Prepare and present financial, funding, and investment reports to executive committees, investment forums, and boards
