A leading insurance provider is seeking a Corporate Actuarial Analyst to join their Group Finance team. This role is ideal for actuaries with deep reserving and capital experience who thrive in highly accountable, collaborative spaces and are looking to take on leadership in technical delivery and governance.
POSITION INFO:
What You'll Be Doing: Reserving Focus

  • Build, run, and analyse reserving models using industry-standard software (e.g., Psicle, Igloo, ResQ).
  • Prepare quarterly reserving and profitability reports and present results to executive forums.
  • Ensure model inputs and outputs are complete, accurate, and compliant with governance processes.
  • Support broader business units including claims, reinsurance, and product teams.
Capital Modelling Focus
  • Calculate regulatory and internal capital requirements for solo and group entities.
  • Lead key elements of the ORSA process (risk tolerance, stress testing, solvency projections).
  • Participate in ALM and risk-based capital allocation decisions.
  • Engage with capital governance forums and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
Broader Actuarial Contributions
  • Support reinsurance renewals, catastrophe modelling, and capital cost projections.
  • Perform technical input on IFRS 17, model governance, and planning cycles.
  • Collaborate across actuarial,
, and business units to strengthen risk and capital analytics.
Requirements:
  • BSc or Honours in Actuarial Science or a related quantitative field.
  • Progress towards actuarial qualification (FASSA or equivalent).
  • 5+ years' experience in reserving and/or capital modelling (
industry). * Technical proficiency with tools like Psicle, ResQ, Igloo, R, SQL, or similar.
  • Understanding of IFRS 17 and insurance finance fundamentals.
  • Strong data manipulation and report writing capabilities.
