In this role you will be responsible for:

Reporting to the Superintendent (Metallurgical)
Safe and efficient operation of the PGMX Flotation and FCR plant (Thickeners, Cyclones, SMD mills, Magnetic separation, Tailings Storage Facilities and Filter Press)
Managing the production team and ensuring compliance to health and safety protocols
Continuously optimise and improve the plant processes and systems
Planning and executing plant metallurgical equipment maintenance and control plant process budget
Oversee the effective operation of the plant within set parameters
Providing strong leadership by planning, organising, and controlling all activities in the plant
Assisting management with identifying the gaps in the current plant procedures and operating processes
Ensuring production targets are communicated to personnel and plans are in place to meet set targets
Monitoring compliance on dispatching of final product and final product stockpile management
Performing standby duties
Monitoring production recovery and quality of final product produced on a daily basis and perform necessary changes

About you

:
Relevant NQF Level 7 qualification related to Metallurgical Engineering/Chemical Engineering
Three (3) years working experience in a Supervisory role, PGMX Metal Accounting, process control for floatation plants or similar operation.
Strong leadership and people skills with proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
Proficient in MS Office Suite, SAP Production Module and Coupa P2P
Medically fit to work on surface, working on heights and in confined spaces
Code 8 driver's license
