ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Control-M Knowledge: Familiarity with Control-M software, including its architecture, components, and functionalities related to job scheduling and file transfers.
File Transfer Protocols: Understanding of various file transfer protocols such as FTP, SFTP, FTPS, and HTTP/S, including their configurations and security implications.
Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, Perl) to automate file transfer processes and manage workflows.
Networking Basics: Knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing, DNS, and firewalls, to troubleshoot connectivity issues related to file transfers.
Error Handling and Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to file transfers, including understanding logs and error messages.

Data Integration Tools: Knowledge of data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools, which can complement file transfer processes.

WHICH QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE DO WE NEED FOR THE ROLE?
Educational Background:
o A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is often preferred.
o Relevant certifications in IT, networking, or specific technologies (e.g., Control-M certification) can be advantageous.
Control-M Certification:
o Obtaining a certification in Control-M can demonstrate your expertise and commitment to the role.
Networking and Security Certifications:
o Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or security-related certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) can enhance your qualifications.
WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES?
Job Scheduling and Management: Configure, schedule, and manage file transfer jobs using Control-M to ensure timely and efficient data movement between systems.
Protocol Implementation: Implement and manage various file transfer protocols (e.g., FTP, SFTP, FTPS) to facilitate secure and reliable data transfers.
Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor file transfer jobs for successful completion, troubleshoot issues, and generate reports on job performance and transfer status.
Error Handling and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve errors related to file transfers, including connectivity issues, protocol errors, and data integrity problems.
Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts to automate file transfer processes and improve operational efficiency.
Security Compliance: Ensure that file transfer processes comply with security policies and best practices, including data encryption and access controls.
Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders, to understand file transfer requirements and provide solutions.
