Job Description
Qualifications required:
PrCM Professional Construction Manager OR B.Sc Construction Management
Experience required:
20+ years experience with high rise building structures
Must have worked for a large, listed building contractor
Duties that you will be expected to handle:
- Manage the entire construction process on site
- Monitor long-term & short term programmes
- Monitor profitability of project and implement corrective action where needed
- Ensure that key milestones and negotiated deadlines are met by project teams
- Ensure contractual processes are implemented by the project team on site
- Evaluate cost reports to ensure profitability of contract
- Resolves payment problems
- Guide contractor appointments
- Lead quality assurance
- Lead the implementation of quality standards
- Conducts site inspections
- Maintain a record of site inspections
- Ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Provide feedback to Directors
- Lead contractual responsibility
- Ensure site teams are functioning in accordance with the contract
- Ensure adherence to legal contractual requirements are followed
- Ensure that procedure for claims delays are followed
- Strategic forecasting, planning and reporting
- Compile monthly reports for regional leaders
