Position: Contract Mine Manager
Salary: R30000 R45000 per month
Working Hours: 07:00 16:00 day shift (night shifts as required)
Location: Kathu, Northern Cape
Job Purpose:
To manage and coordinate all aspects of contracted security services across the mining operation, ensuring compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable legislation. Safeguard personnel, infrastructure, and maintain a secure operating environment aligned with mining industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management: Oversee service provider contracts and SLAs; conduct performance reviews and corrective actions; liaise with procurement and legal teams.
Operational Oversight: Supervise daily security operations, access control, patrols, surveillance, emergency response; conduct risk assessments and audits.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as liaison with mine leadership, contractors, government agencies, local law enforcement; deliver security briefings; support CSR initiatives.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to mining laws, OHS Act, and private security regulations; maintain documentation; lead incident investigations.
Team Management: Provide leadership to internal and contracted security staff; coordinate training, rostering, KPIs, and disciplinary processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
Grade 12 / NSC
PSIRA Grade A Certification (mandatory)
Tertiary qualification in Security or Risk Management (advantageous)
58 years of experience in security managementpreferably in the mining or heavy-industry sector
Proven record of managing outsourced security contracts
Sound knowledge of South African mining regulations, OHS Act, and security legislation
Business-Purpose Firearm Competency (mandatory)

Doel van die Pos:
Om al die aspekte van gekontrakteerde sekuriteitsdienste by die mynoperasie te bestuur en te koordineer. Verseker nakoming van maatskappybeleide, kontrakverpligtinge en toepaslike wetgewing. Beskerm personeel, infrastruktuur en handhaaf n veilige werksomgewing volgens mynbedryfstandaarde.
Sleutelverantwoordelikhede:
Kontrakbestuur: Oorsig oor dienskontrakte en SLAs; hou prestasie-evaluerings; werk saam met inkoop- en regsafdelings.
Operasionele Toesig: Toesig oor daaglikse sekuriteitsbedrywighede, toegangbeheer, patrollie, toesig en noodreaksie; uitvoer van risikoassesserings en kontrole.
Belanghebbendes: Skakel met mynleiding, kontrakteurs, regeringsinstansies en plaaslike owerhede; lewer veiligheidbriefings; ondersteun MVO-initiatiewe.
Nakoming & Bestuur: Verseker nakoming van mynregulasies, OHS-aksie en privaatsekuriteitswetgewing; hou volledige dokumente; lei voorvalondersoeke.
Spanbestuur: Bied leiding aan interne en eksterne sekuriteitspersoneel; koordineer opleiding, roosters, KPIs en dissiplinere prosedures.
Kwalifikasies & Ervaring:
Graad 12 / Nasionale Senior Sertifikaat
PSIRA Grade A-sertifikaat (verpligtend)
Tersiere kwalifikasie in Sekuriteits- of Risikobestuur (n voordeel)
58 jaar ondervinding in sekuriteitsbestuur verkieslik in myn- of swaarbedryf
Bewese rekord van bestuur van eksterne sekuriteitskontrakte
Grondige kennis van Suid-Afrikaanse mynregulasies, OHS-aksie en sekuriteitswetgewing
Besigheidsdoelwit-vuurwapenkompetensie (verpligtend)
Kernvaardighede:
