Job Description

Content & SEO Writer - Massachusetts Divorce & Family Law Focus

Wright Family Law Group is a leading Massachusetts divorce and family law firm known for its fearless advocacy, clear communication, and modern approach to client service. We are expanding our digital marketing team and seeking a

resourceful, detail-oriented content writer

with strong research and SEO skills to produce authoritative, high-ranking legal content.

This role requires someone who can think like a

strategist and storyteller

-- blending accurate legal information with clear, engaging writing that drives search performance and client engagement.

Compensation:

$6 hourly

Responsibilities:

What You'll Do:

Write and optimize high-quality blog posts, website pages, and educational articles covering Massachusetts divorce, custody, child support, alimony, and restraining order topics. Research legal themes independently using credible public sources (e.g., Mass.gov, court rules, statutes) -- access to Westlaw or Lexis is a plus but not required. Apply on-page SEO best practices, including keyword clustering, H1/H2/H3 formatting, meta titles and descriptions, internal linking, and alt text. Write with E-E-A-T principles (Expertise, Experience, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness). Use tools such as

Grammarly Premium, AI-assisted writing software (ChatGPT or Paxton AI), and SEO optimization platforms (SEMrush or similar)

to enhance quality, readability, and compliance. Follow the Massachusetts Rules of Professional Conduct for attorney advertising -- no guarantees, misleading claims, or unverifiable comparisons. Collaborate with our marketing team (SEO expert, web designer, Social Media Marketing Strategist, Video Editor) to align blog content with broader marketing campaigns. Track article performance using Google Search Console and Analytics data to refine strategy. Collaborate with the marketing manager to plan weekly blog topics based on keyword briefs and analytics data. Edit and improve existing blog posts to maintain freshness and keyword performance.

Qualifications:

What We're Looking For:

Proven writing experience -- ideally in legal, professional services, or technical content. Strong understanding of SEO principles (keywords, backlinks, internal linking, metadata). Familiarity with Google Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs, or SurferSEO preferred. Excellent grammar, tone, and clarity; proficiency with

Grammarly Premium required.

Knowledge of plagiarism detection tools (Grammarly, Copyscape). Ability to research Massachusetts-specific family law topics and explain them in plain English. Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable meeting deadlines in a remote environment. (Preferred) Background in journalism, law, English, or communications.
