Mood is a fast-growing retail company, producing and publishing SEO/AIO/LLM-optimized content daily. We are aiming to expand our content volume significantly. Our goal is to ramp up production while maintaining high editorial standards.
To achieve this, we're seeking a highly skilled Copywriter / Editor with strong AI tool expertise to join our team. You will be instrumental in utilizing cutting-edge AI technologies to create and edit content, optimizing workflows, and helping us scale up quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Editing: Write and edit engaging, informative articles using AI tools. Articles will be published daily, with a focus on both quantity and quality. We will count on you to edit everything you publish for accuracy and to match Mood's brand voice.
- AI Utilization: Leverage AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to assist in writing and editing. You should be comfortable using these tools to generate, edit, and optimize content for a wide range of topics.
- SEO & Optimization: Optimize content using tools like GSC and Claude, ensuring it's SEO-friendly and ranks well on search engines. Familiarity with SEO practices is a plus, though we are open to training.
- Content Management: Use content management systems such as Contentful and collaboration tools like Slack and Notion to manage, track, and collaborate on content workflows.
- Workflow Management: Work through complex workflows involving multiple programs and tools. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills will be essential to navigate this process.
- Collaboration & Editorial Responsibility: Work closely with the team to ensure that all content meets a high editorial standard. You'll take on a high level of editorial responsibility, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and engagement across all published content.
Requirements:
- AI Expertise: Strong experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, and Deepseek Reasoner. You should be confident in using these tools to assist with content generation and editing.
- Writing & Editing: Previous experience as a content writer and editor with a strong understanding of American-English grammar, structure, and readability.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfort with complex workflows and multiple software tools is a must. Previous experience with Claude, Contentful, Notion, and Slack is preferred. A general comfort level with technology and adapting to new tools is essential.
- SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with SEO practices and optimization tools like GSC. While we are open to training, a basic understanding of SEO would be an advantage.
- Language Proficiency: Native English proficiency is essential (ideal candidates from South Africa).
- Independent & Collaborative: Ability to work independently while being an active part of a remote team. You'll be responsible for managing your workload, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining quality.
Preferred Experience:
- AI Tools & Large Language Models: Experience with multiple AI tools, particularly large language models (LLMs) for content creation and editing.
- SEO Optimization: Experience with content optimization using Surfer SEO or similar platforms.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with tools like Contentful, Slack, Notion, and other content management systems.
